yeah the service manager was a dickhead. When i asked why i had to pay $250 for coolant, he sorta shrugged and said something along the lines of "well someones gotta pay for it"

I said it should be covered by the recall since changing the frame requires the coolant to be drained. He wasn't having it.

Its a greedy company. No way a couple gallons of antifreeze can cost that much. I called Toyota New Glascow and they do not charge shop supplies on frame recalls.

So I had my frame replaced late last fall, and trying to find out what all was changed with it was like pulling teeth from the service manager. He did say "some" brake fluid amongst other things, but I'm wondering how much coolant would they change? Some? Or all?

They do not flush the brake system or the cooling system. But most of the coolant is drained and replaced with new. Same as brake fluid, Mostly new and its good enough so that you do not have to change it for a long time or be worried about it. Just have levels all checked at next service and topped up if necessary

Had good luck with one before. Like everything else you buy these days not much is as reliable as the older stuff. Many complaints about newer Toyotas.
