    VA folks, any experiences with frame repairs being "illegal" and not passing our state inspection? Not just welds, but even "painting is illegal"?

    The state code has rather vague language about rust holes and repairs "per manufacturer standards".

    i was at a car show on Saturday.....this 'rust frame' safety inspection came up when talking to others
    guy originally from PA said that if the vehicle failed bc of rust
    most common thing was to sell the vehicle in Ohio......was told OH doesnt have same rusty safety standard so legal!
