Does anyone out there have any information on the average wait for a new frame to be supplied.
My 2004 Double Cab went in on November 6th.

I would guess it varies by dealer. My father in law just got his approved for a new frame and he is 48th on the wait list. The dealer said they average 2-3 per week. There seems to be lots of parts available, just takes time to do the work.

Wow...2004? Not sure anyone can even give you a time frame. That's the 1st gen frame. I didn't realize they're still making the frames for 1st gens. Have you called the dealer lately?
Call them and call them regularly and hopefully they'll get tired of you calling and try to kick it in the ass and get things done much quicker so you'll stop calling.

Majority of the frames that are being delivered to dealerships are the 2nd gen frames.

They have to keep producing 1st gen frames until at least 2019 to honour the 15 year warranty that Toyota put in place.

That was what was explained to me.
What I find strange, is that a brand like Toyota can not give me a date.
I understand the supply chain issues and the timing, but not being able to say when something can be delivered in this day and age is weird.
    Thanks

    Ok.
Now I have contacted Toyota Canada.
Very smooth people on the other end of the line full of platitudes but no answers.
I was assigned a tracking number and told it will take 5 to 7 business days for a service manager to get back to me, that was on the 18th.
So just to follow up I called Friday at 1:00 PM now it could be 7 to 10 days for an answer.
Now if I ran my business with regards to warranties like Toyota ran theres I would soon be out of business.

Thought I maybe a life long Toyota customer, time to start looking at the competition.
I really do not have a choice I need a truck for work.
I can sell the Taco when they finally get it done.
Off to test anything but a Toyota

    Not impressed at all.
