Well, it only took 2 or 3 weeks for me to go from happy and positive about Toyota, to ready to go buy a new truck from someone else, just out of spite.

Net/Net, my AC no longer works and I am stuck footing the bill.

The AC was fine when the truck went too the dealership, but it now leaks at the spot that the dealership had to disassemble in order to separate the engine from the cab.

If the power steering was now leaking where they had to disconnect it, that would be 100% covered since it is mentioned in the ancillary list, but the AC line is not on that list, and so they won't cover it.

They are telling me the part is environmentally pitted and as such now leaking. I am not 100% convinced the pitting is causing the leak, after all, it was pitted before the truck went into the shop and it wasn't leaking then. And I don't believe they have actually gone and disassembled it, changed out the gasket, and tried to see if it would seel if given a 2nd chance.

We do agree that it wasn't leaking before the truck went in and that it is now leaking, but somehow it is my problem.

The dealership did offer to discount the price, but I was still looking at ~$500 total, even after the discount.

Toyota corporate, while very polite and understanding, basically said that since the dealership offered to discount the repair they couldn't do anything more. I don't really understand that answer. Originally they seemed to suggest that they would cover this out of goodwill, and either pay the dealer or reimburse me after, but then when they called the dealership, they changed their tune.

Unfortunately, I can't offer anyone any advice on how to handle this, but I can say that I won't be going back to Wellesley Toyota in Wellesley MA ever again. I bought TWO new trucks from them, but I'm done. When I go to buy my next truck, it is no longer a Toyota by default.

I am very disappointed that they did $12K work for 'free' to cover goodwill, and now the last $500 they won't cover. Worse, I had NO expectation of charges like this going into all of this.

    Very disappointed customer.

Two different Toyota Dealers had the opportunity to see my frame back in 2017 and then again in 2018. The way Toyoyo and their dealers totally dropped the ball and said their was no perforation on my frame they did nothing except replace the leaf springs. I thought everything was okay. Then all of a sudden I had the muffler brackets drop down from the frame, and I developed these big holes in my frame and separation in the areas of the frame were the Yoyo's laid a frame within a frame. Now Yoyo and it's dealer say there is nothing that will do to fix the frame. The dealer mechanic was a real dumb A$$ said he could spray some undercoating on it. I doubt I will ever buy a Yoyo Truck again. The dealer mechanics are terrible, and can't even change a flat tire. It' a shame that Yoyo takes advantage of their customers like that. Attorneys like this type of stuff. I wouldn't buy a Yoyo Truck, if you haven't already done so. Buy a different brand its a joke dealing with them.

What year is your truck and did you have a final inspection done close to the deadline?

Its a 2009 Tacoma TRD Crew Cab. I paid to have an alternator replaced in 2019 and the deal Bevard Didn't say anything. The Dealer Jim Coleman Toyota replaced the Leaf Springs in 2017, and then now I have hole in my frame

I see a Lawsuit coming. It only has 133K miles on it. My attorneys are former high level DOJ attorneys. and I have a whole bunch of them from were I work for the DOC. Though I would just like to get it resolved peacefully. because what Toyota has done is fraud. Though if you have any insight it is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    J

I had my lawyers look at this, its going to be a tough battle, almost not even worth it. Going to cost about 8k to be replaced, my fees were going to blow through that.
