    Got mine home from frame replacement and the 2 bolts holding the carrier bearing to cross member are so rusty they only put them in about an 1/8” . They are either making a house call or towing it back to dealer . Both shafts move up about 2” :mad:

    That is scary and totally unacceptable.

    Any concerned technician would NOT allow that to leave the bay.

    Does Toyota not have a punch sheet to allow technicians to check their work as the repairs moved forward?

    Give them an opportunity to repair it correctly and throw in a new set of TRD wheels for free as a good will gesture.

    I live 90 miles from said dealer who did frame swap .They called the local dealer and I just got off the phone with them they said oh we are super busy call you later .Now I’m really pissed !

    You’d think they’d have some type of check sheet but I had to go back 3 times after I got mine back before it was ok. When I first drove off I nearly crashed because they hadn’t bled my brakes and my brake pedal went almost to the floor.
    They “fixed” it but the second time driving away I realized my backup camera wasn’t working. Came back again, they fixed that. Driving away for the second time my brakes still weren’t working so I went back AGAIN and they finally fixed the brakes correctly.

    Unbelievable that anybody would do such extensive work and not check everything over before releasing it back to the owner.

    Just got mine back from being undercoated he said he wants me to bring it back in a few months to see if they can replace it they really want to do it but it's just not within what is allowed :/ guy tried talking me into a tundra he started explaining the 2020 tundra will have electric assist but it's not a hybrid it will be capable of towing almost 13000lbs and 29MPG he said it will have more torque than any other truck in its range.

    I've watched a few frame replacement videos on youtube and have yet to see a technician use a torque wrench:eek:
    Maybe it's just me but some things should not be just slapped back together with an impact gun.

    Yup ,I made sure he torqued the bolts to spec . He brought a torque wrench with him .

    I asked if it’s normal after so many mile with the new frame to come back and check all bolts and specs and dealer said no need :notsure:

    What is the warranty for a new frame?

    Does anyone coat the new frame with fluid film or Eastwood’s internal rust prevention products?
