Frame Replacement - What additional cost to expect from the Dealer?

i had a o6 they replaced my frame plus springs front and rear and shocks gave me a rental car they had it 3 months never charged me a thing

 

I’m guessing yes but don’t really know. The first time the pedal almost went to the floor, the second time it was better but still really soft so I’m thinking they hadn’t bled the brakes at all and then bled them poorly?

i was told that lower control arms aren't part of the replacement program. are they? should I call toyota canada?
i am getting my frame replaced on Nov 26th.

 

They 100% are part of the frame recall. Our parts department has them by the box outback literally hundreds of taco control arms just waiting for frames.

 

You should at least check the u bolts torque, I'm pretty sure it's 90 ft lbs. And the wheels.

 

My brakes were horrible when I got my truck back. They overfilled the master cylinder and it was overflowing on the way home.
I called back and was told "sometimes the brakes are hard to bleed." Fucking hacks

 

With my frame swop the did lower control arms springs and hanger bearing. Had to go back n do a retorque. It realy depends upon the dealership and how much they are willing to try n write off.

 

I got LCA ,new rack that I paid for and the steering shaft . Now all of a sudden when I am braking coming to a stop the truck pulls right big time .Steering wheel wants to go to the right too when braking ?

 

Check to see if tge left caliper is working. Or when they did the swop could have colapsed the hose or line. Seen that happan, whe not ptoperly hanging the calipers.

 

This just started happening ,my frame was swapped months ago

 

If it only does it while braking than chances are a caliper may have went bad. Does it pull when you just take your foor off the throttle?

Frozen caliper pistons and possibly warped rotors, my fronts have been warped for about 25 k and it pulls hard right with crazy steering wheel twerk on braking. Still sending it to this day lol.

 

Put PowerStop drilled and slotted rotors and PS pads probably 4-5 years ago and broke them in properly . Pads still look good . Just took it for a ride and now it’s not pulling when braking

First thing I did after my frame replacement was have it fluid filmed. Found a guy that does it on a lift he has in back of his house....$125. Man did he do a great job too.

 

138K on original the front rotors now, the sending continues my friend.

 

Adam, I do believe you, but do you have anything in writing to support this? Is there a Toyota service bulletin out there that has authorized parts/labor list? I saw the list in this thread that one member had covered for his specific truck (haven't even checked if the LCAs are on there yet), but I don't think that's enough to justify my argument anyways.

They're ordering my frame and the service adviser told me "no, they're definitely not included". I'm going to do my research and be prepared when the frame arrives.
