    So if your next step to print out the paperwork and get your new parts installed? And tell the writer he is a dumbass?

    Well... I will be more tactful because that's my style but... yes :thumbsup:

    My frame is still on order so I'm sure there are many weeks before I get to that point.

    Gives ya some time to remove the mods from your vehicle that would have to come off for them to do the frame.

    These are the legal documents. The lower control arms are not specified, but Toyota does have them in the kit and replaced mine. It seems some people have had trouble with service advisors saying hardware/bolts have to be paid for. My shop was new to this and gave me the same BS, we pulled up the legal agreement together and they stopped asking for me to pay for bolts.

    http://www.toyotaframesettlement.co...uments/Settlement_Agreement_with_Exhibits.pdf

    IV. Replace Frame if Perforation is 10 mm or Larger

    If any perforation in the frame is found to be 10 mm or larger, then the frame will be replaced, as well as all applicable parts and service items incidental to frame replacement, such as cables, harnesses, pipes, clamps, tubes, hoses, spare tire carrier, spare tire carrier plate, bolts, brackets, and wires and all fluids will be replaced, as required.

    My dealership actually gave me a list of actual parts that would be replaced. It is from Toyota and is page 3 of their bulletin to dealers. Do I need to try to photograph and put a picture here? My truck is actually in service for the new frame right now. The LCA's are definitely covered as written!

    If you have it handy you might as well, sucks when service advisors still arent knowledgable enough to deal with one of the most know toyota recalls :rolleyes:

    Want something done right you gotta do it yourself! The funny thing is they can access the document in like 10 seconds through the TIS toyota TSB section im pretty sure

    Definitely post that list if you can. The document I found shows parts that "CAN" be replaced if they're damaged during disassembly or corrosion prevents reassembly. Attached screen shot of the doc linked below. It's from page 4.

    It's possible you guys are working with a newer TSB, as this revision was dated 6/26/2018.

    AND I just found a picture of it on my phone. Just curious....anyone here think this may be a compensable claim. I have the photographic proof. I have the receipt showing I paid $412 to replace the power steering line. And now, I have written proof that this is an ancillary part that "can" be covered under the frame agreement.
    Wonder if this is worth pursuing?

    Swede essentially posted what I have. My document is cited as Warranty Enhancement Program ZH6 - D - Page 3. That list is important to take note of! Further, note that the first sentence in the paragraph where it states "The below list..." Notice what is stated about removing the parts, etc. This is important. I've noticed that several posters have stated they paid for the power steering rack and lines when the ancillary list plainly includes such parts. That would be actionable if you took the time to pursue it and had documentation showing that your parts conformed to the directions in the paragraph above the list of parts.

    I am going to shoot for reimbursement. I will start a separate thread once it is resolved. I am glad I went in and took pictures when my truck was apart.

    I'm just getting started on the process. 2007 Tacoma TRD Sport 6sp Standard 210,000 miles. Dealer loaned me replacement Tacoma.
    They also quoted me:
    replacement pads, rotors, shim kit, labor: total $550;
    rear drums, shoe assy.,spring kit, labor: total $750;
    Rear ABS sensors, wire kit, labor: total $1,000;
    PS lines, Brake line caliper to master cylinder, no labor charge: total $300.
    I'm sure there'll be more, but I'd like to have them do the timing belt, maybe the clutch as I'm still on the original...

    Note the brake lines are included...check out the posted list of what is included. Make the argument for the brake lines you cite. Note the power steering lines attached to the rack are included. I don't think you have a timing belt on a V6. (Sport)

    Thanks, timing chain. I'd already replaced some lines . The service manager said that normal wear and tear is not covered on ancillary parts, but I'll run it by them again.

    2018 new Frame (thank you Rust!), FJ T-case swap. SPC(LR) UCAs, Bilstein 5100s front - rear, OME 883 at 0, HeadStrongOffRoad 3 leaf progressive AAL, MESO custom 2nd gen (Red/White) LED dome & Ultimate Maps, Spyder Halo Projector w LEDs (which SUCK), Spyder LED tails
    I was '06 (now '06/'18) MT with 220K miles.... the items above are all outside of the Frame recall... but they should not be charging any labor costs to install anything new that you choose to replace while the truck is dis-assembled... just the cost of the parts.

    I was able to hand them my chosen (aftermarket - Thanks again Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road !! they are the best!) Bilstein 5100 struts with 883 OME coil over springs, and new SPC light racing upper control arms, and rear 5100 shocks. And IF I had given them the @HeadStrong Off-Road 3-leaf pack at the time, they would have installed those too at no labor cost (I added them after the fact - and did pay labor to have installed, but that was my fault for not doing that at the time of frame swap).

    This is the time to replace any Cab mounts and /or motor/ transmission mounts.... IF your power steering rack needs replacement, this is the time... no labor to install new parts.... GOOD LUCK - I love my half new rig!

    You have a timing chain, no belt. SUPPOSE to last the life of the motor. Very few accounts of them breaking. And if you do the clutch mind you youll have to pay labor prices because the tranny and motor come out as one piece. Maybe they will give you a break since itll already be out of the vehicle.

    Previous poster specifically mentioned the steering rack and how if that needs to replaced, the owner should only pay labor. If you look at the documentation from Toyota that Swede posted earlier, you will see the power steering rack is included in the exchange if needed.
    Really, you need to pay attention to the writing from Toyota as opposed to unsupported opinions. The information is there. That is the factual detail to show the service manager. Your argument has to have merit and be supportable in terms of the parts. That list on that post that Swede made is what my dealer is also using to determine if the part is covered or not! You should as well as opposed to arguing or guessing! If the dealer won't budge, your appeal is to the regional manager and then Toyota. The burden of proof is on the dealer and anyone who wants to counter the writing in the opposite!
