Does anybody know what states this was affected? I have a 03 DCab where the bed gap is wider at the top and the frame is cracked.
I went to my local Toyota dealer and the guy ran the VIN and said he don't see anything.

Ive never seen a list of affected states but if youre not in a more northern state that uses shit tons of road salt it wont be covered. Keep in mind its not a recall! So if he ran it looking for that he wouldnt have found anything! Its a warranty. Also if the truck wasnt bought in a affected state but then you moved there and it rusted out i dont think it will be covered, even though it should...

My uncle want to sell me his 2001 tacoma. Outside it looks perfect but the frame have big rusted holes in it. Do dealers still replace them?

This topic really needs to be made into a sticky.

But if he bought it in 2001 then 2016 is 15 years. It still should be covered.

Depending on the trucks in service date and if it had been inspected there is a possibility it could still be covered. You need to check like yesterday! Call your dealer asap!! You might get lucky. Also fyi, dont call it a recall, if you get a dummy on the phone and they arent up on the frame replacements they will just look for a recall in their system and not find it and then tell you youre SOL. It was more of a warranty if it qualified.

I called them Saturday and the lady said she can't find password for the system and she wrote down my vin number and suppose to call me back. She said "don't worry I'm not trying to blow you off" her exact words. So not sure. I might just go there. But I heard some people did it and they won't give them back their cars if it's unsafe to drive.

They may not replace your frame, but lift and tires won't be the reason why.

Just got off the phone with my local dealer. They said it expired in March this year. Something tells me they just try to get rid off me.

Don't deal with the dealers on this, call Toyota HQ! two dealers gave me wrong answers about the Service Campaign for the frame issues so I called Toyota HQ and my frame was covered. Dealers may not be blowing you off but there's a good chance that they don't really know what the hell is going on. Just made my appointment today and the process starts on Tuesday (Sept. 6th), waited over 5 months for the frame to come in.

There is a state specific list out there, I have a copy of it somewhere. If you search around, I'm sure it'll pop up somewhere.

This frame issue really does need to be a sticky. I try to help out on almost every post and I'm always saying the same thing. Someone make this happen so people can search one thread!

My truck did NOT have the inspection and undercoating done by the previous owner. While I have not seen any extensive frame rust I do have some. Think I'm screwed?

Def not covered under the extended warranty. You should look at it closely and see if there is any perforation and take care of any problem areas ahead of time. If by chance I'm wrong about being covered, you should take it in to get inspected anyways but don't trust just the dealer inspection. The one I took mine to didn't do a good job at all and I found the 2"x5" soft spot on mine 2 days after they looked at it. I pushed that soft spot in with my fingers so I know they didn't really look at it.

Correct. My truck was undercoated in 2011 by the PO. Once that happens the warranty gets "extended" or starts the day it was driven off the lot for 15 years

Dang! Just missed it! That really sucks big time!!

Did you ask or did they mention if it was eligible anyways and if it had been inspected/undercoated in order to gain the 15 year extended warranty??
