Looking at the bolts for my hitch I don't think that they would come off, just curious at that point am I responsible for the cost of labor for swapping my hitch to the new frame?

Dealer said I would be charged any labor due to complications from removal and reinstallation.

Nope, mine was moved to my new frame and was of charged for it, I'd tell them to get lost trying to charge ya for things that are part of the job... Find a new place if need be to take it...

How bad were the bolts holding the hitch on? Mine are mushoom like from the rust, don't think they will come off.

New frame, new hitch. Next time, paint the bolts on the exterior with wheel bearing grease. When I did a couple of mods on my 4 Runner and needed to replace one after 9 years, it came off easy as pie. Just "replaint" every year or two. I live in the rust belt and painting suspected areas of all my toyota truck frames over the years and I have NEVER had a rust issue. Too lazy to paint ? Just spray it once every year or two with bio degradable oil from an old garden sprayer. The bolts will com off easily....decades later.
