    Hi,
My dad went for a sticker on his 09 Tacoma, and the dealership said the frame was subject to a recall due to rust issues. They gave him a loaner, and now (2months later) they say the truck is ready to pickup.

The idea of replacing the entire frame of a 09 vehicle just sounds sketchy to me. With all the parts that must be taken off and transfered onto the new frame, how do we know nothing was damaged in the process? Is there anything in specific we should be worried about?

    Thanks

Thank you, but most of the discussion in that thread is about the recall. I understand the specifics of the recall, I was just asking if removing everything from a 9 yr old truck and reattaching it to a new frame could result in additional problems.

There were a few problems after my frame was replaced. They over tightened the lug nuts and warped the rotors. The dealer of course denied this and said that I need brakes. They were done a few months prior. The bed wasn't aligned properly and the license plate lights were not working.
