Just bought a 2010 Tacoma DC TRD ... Truck was south all its life, and no where near the water (no source of salt should have effected this), truck has 73k on it, my problem is I have huge front body mount frame rot holes!!!!! On both sides, same spot! Bought from a dealership that passed it here in VA for inspection! ... But shouldn't this be covered by yota... Need y'alls input or experience in this issue!
    Thanks guys!

Sorry that is not frame rot... It is an unfinished Body Mount Chop to fit those 33's....... 99.999999% sure Toyota is not going to cover that

Is this normal or will my cab fall off onto my wheels?

That area was cut out intentionally to make some clearence for bigger tires. Normally people weld in some sheet metal and paint it.

Did you read the posts above? Someone cut the frame to fit oversized tires. You can take it to a shop to have a plate welded in if you wish. This shoddy work has nothing to do with Toyota.

Sounds like you just have to finish the CMC job (weld in some plates covering the hole)? And treat the rust with a spray to help keep it from getting worse

Yeah I'm gunna take it home and grind it down and spray it, and have a friend weld a piece up there! The entire rest of the truck it fairly spotless! Just those two spots

I'd recommend welding in a plate of some sort as well to regain some integrity there (not that you'll likely ever see a failure though). If nothing else, for extra insurance.

That's right!! I think I might just stick with my 285's ... With my 3" lift I'm still rubbing somewhere though when I make hard turns or easy when in reverse lol so may need to trim some!

Maybe an alignment is needed? More forward caster perhaps? Might also check to see if the sidewall of the tire is rubbing on the Upper Control Arms (especially if they are stock Toyota UCA's).
