did you already get it swapped out?

when I bot my truck the dealer sent it off-site to a different independent shop that did the chip guard on the rockers/fenders, undercarriage, interior and paint protector, etc.
i found undercoating overspray on the lower fuel shield when I recently took it off to get cleaned, not sure why they did not treat that for some reason

I have seen 1st gens at random dealers in for frames. Not sure if it customer pay, or warranty again (who knows). Traveling New England and checking into random dealers, for a stroll or service I have seen multiple rotted and cabs on lifts. If that frame was replace, I believe it that it rotted out again. Our roads are OVER treated 90% of the time, if you want a good welder PM me (local). I'd fight with Toyota, 10 year old frame rotted again!!

No, this frame I bought is part of a massive restoration project. Way long before it’s done

Unlike most others, I have been satisfied with how the Toyota CRC has performed on my truck. The PO had it done when the frame was still mint looking. All areas Ive scraped off by accident have clean, black painted metal underneath. Any rust on the frame is a result of the coating coming off at some point, example being the step bars the PO had on, you could tell where the mounts were because it rusted some. I still spray fluid film on top at least once a year to keep the frame nice and greasy. I think my truck is kind of an anomoly since it only had 25k on it in 2010 when the coating was applied, so very little pre-existing rust at the time.

are you going to hot dip galvanize that?
i am looking for info on that procedure

what procedure did you use to clean the axle housing?
that is a LOT of weathering for only 25k miles!

Na. Leave it as is. It won’t see rain let alone snow.

that's no fun :( TACOs like snow, mine sure did! this past winter's blizzard and near whiteout in the city, wrenching that 4wd trying to keep all under control
the streets (basically empty) were mine all mine :) blizzard was on a Saturday so everybody home by the fireplace, etc.

    ...
and I saw a post somewhere today that it costs only a few hundred $$$ to do
while you see a chance, take it!

I’m going for a high power build. Snow rain would be a handful.

Plus I have a rolled over tundra I’m fixing up to take the roll the taco had for snow fun.
