Frame Rust on 07 Tacoma (Philadelphia)

Hey guys,

Just had a general service on my 07 Tacoma and they mentioned that my frame was perforated. They said it should be covered under warantee, but they weren't able to do that kind of service at that location. Long story short, i went to another relatively local service center and they were able to take pictures and send them to Toyota. This was Friday of last week. Today, (Wednesday) i received a call from them saying Toyota would not cover a frame replacement as it's seemingly an isolated incident. The service center guy recommended i call Toyota customer service center and get a conversation started.

I called Toyota Customer Experience Center today and filed a report. Said that i would get a call back within a business day.

I will be filing a NHTSA complaint and writing to corporate.

Anyone have any advice or experience when dealing with corporate?

I have a 7 year old truck that wont pass inspection and i cant afford a 12000 frame replacement!

 

Currently drafting a letter to the PA Attorney Generals office
