    Hello,

I have a 2011 Tacoma double cab 4x4 longbed auto. I heared before I bought it that they had fixed their rust issues. Now I am reading that they still have them with the new ones. If they fixed the issue. What year did they and what did they do?

    Thanks in advance,

    Eric

Just get under there twice a year with rustoleoum paint and spray the frame. They still have paint issues from the factory. In the search function here, type in rust or frame a bunch of threads will pop up.

    PS...where do you live?

This is why I had the dealer throw in the rustproofing and undercoating package on before I signed for it and drove it off the lot.

I asked the dealer I bought it off of along with another dealer and both said they did not have any undercoating pkg and didn't recomend it from any place else. I used to live in Pittsburgh and remember how much damage the salt can cause to a vechile. I hate rust.

I got the dealer deal, but they didn't undercoat it. They only put some junk in the crevices. I undercoated it when I got home. Cheap insurance.
