Apologies if starting a new thread is poor form - couldn't find the info in a few searches.

Did anyone in the Seattle area find a dealership willing to review and replace their rusted frame?

Any tactics on how to approach the conversation?

    Thanks!

I would call dealers in your area.
Then if you are eligible bring it in for a free frame inspection.

Lots of really good threads on how the process will go or what parts are free and what parts you may want to have put on during frame recall you may want to review if you do end up getting a new frame.

For what it's worth, the guys in the parts department at lake city toyota have always been very professional and straightforward.. Can't vouch for the service dept though:anonymous:

Toyota has a protocol on the procedure to establish if you qualify for a frame replacement. There basically looking for a certain size hole in the frame that was caused by rust. So you don’t need to know how to approach them, you just go there and they will probably look at it first, then schedule you for an inspection, if it passes, they will spray the frame and if it fails you will get a replacement if yours falls under there replacement requirements with dates and rust.
