I got my truck back with the check engine light on, I wasn't very happy. The code was for bad Catalytic converts, and they said it couldn't have been them. I got the truck back 2 weeks ago today, and the light went off this morning. I am hoping it just had something to do with the truck sitting for four months, and it finally burnt everything off that was causing the code, I am cautiously optimistic at this point. Other than that, mechanically everything is tight so far, and it drives better than ever.

My dealership went through Enterprise, and I got a Hyundai Accent too. Biggest turd ever made. I told them I needed 4-wheel drive so they exchanged it for a Rav4. A couple of months later Enterprise sold the Rav4 and gave me a Jeep. Talk to Enterprise, they offered me a Dodge Ram but I didn't want something that got 11 mpg.

I'm getting a frame replacement! I didn't think it looked that bad. They found a small hole on upper frame rail flange drivers side along side the fuel tank. Saying to expect 4-5 months for replacement to come in. Safe to drive in the interim. Service writer said about 35-40% of the ones they inspect have failed. Also getting new rear springs as part of another recall. They had one in progress on the rack next to mine. It looked really good. I got to talk with a couple mechanics. They seem to have it together... Said they can do the replacement in three days. Hey if Toyota wants to put a new frame on a ten year old truck... I'm good with it.

Almost done with my frame. Set the Bilstein 6112s on 5th notch and there was 3.5" difference in the front. No beuno. Dropping it down to 1st notch and then she should sit level. Look at that gorgeous new BLACK RUST FREE FRAME!!! Been 7 days today, probably be ready to pick up tomorrow.

Your factory rims sure look better than mine. Mine look like they have skin cancer. Wish Toyota would do something about that. When they replaced my frame last month after waiting since April of last year for it come in, they scratched my powder coated bumper. They fixed it, but I sure won't complain about the minivan again that I drove the week they did the frame swap. The Yaris I was put in while they fixed the bumper sucked even more than the minivan.

Haha. I have a 2016 Camry, it's ok. My rims have bubbles in spots, not perfect for sure. I just keep em clean until I can afford an upgrade someday.

Had my 2006 Tacoma in the dealer for service a while back and they checked for any active recalls on it, and found it was eligible for the frame replacement Warranty Extension, due to a quarter-sized hole near the right front end of the frame. Took 6 months for the dealer to get all the parts into their shop, but once they had the parts, they called me to scheduled it, kept it a week and got it done. Replaced the frame, leaf springs and brake lines as part of the warranty work, plus miscellaneous parts. I also had them replace struts and shocks and put on new tires while they had it apart. Truck rides like new now. Can't believe what a difference. New leaf springs will have to be replaced again because they didn't have the correct warranty replacement leaf springs available yet.

@jovers01 Nice to hear! I had the 3" inch spacer lift for over 75k miles. It has served me well, absolutely no problems at all, but last 10k miles its been riding really rough. I think the Stock suspension is shot. I cant wait to get new struts and shocks along with everything else. I have a feeling I will fall in love all over again with my truck. I was planning on upgrading soon but not any more.

Just a reminder to all who haven't had an inspection yet, about a week left to get it done before the campaign ends...Anyone heard of any extensions?

I did see someone post that in Canada they extended to date to December 31, 2016, but if I was in Canada, I would call a dealership to verify this.

I'll check tomorrow. The dealer finally called this morning after 6 months of me patiently waiting to tell me the frame is in. Dropping truck off tomorrow. Swap to begin Monday. Woo hoo.
