So did the frame come in?? Because they're VIN specific. Weird situation you have going on.

Did they charge you? Mind did the same, my Dealer called Toyota and pleaded with them for Toyota to cover it which they did. I got lucky!

yes, the frame arrived at Autonation Toyota in Orlando today. He said the bays they need were occupied all week, Monday is the first opportunity.
Weird situation is right, the Service Manager known me well already and I intend to visit daily throughout the swap... he will get to know me a lot better.

No problem with visiting. I did, and I took pics. I'm fortunate that the Dealer here is extremely competent. They have 4 teams of 2 techs and this is all they do. Did it in 2 days.

I can't get a straight answer on the number of trucks they have completed, I'm visiting because I have less confidence in them than you appear to have. My truck spent about 7 years in Northern Virginia and DC, then I retired and moved to Orlando. I think they have only completed a handful of frames although they told me today that 3 frames came in today.

ugh. Yeah, I feel ya. My guy told me he's done at least 100 of them. He was their lead frame guy. Is your truck lifted? If not, should be a relatively easy swap.

Yeah they charged me, not that bad, only maintenance I have had to pay for on a 10 year old truck besides brakes and oil changes, so I can't complain.

Dealership said my frame was sprayed and they won't warranty it.. I was putting bolt-on sliders on today and had to reach into the boxed end of the frame and at the bottom was chunks of rust that had flaked off the frame.... 2008 with 111k and I'm the second owner.

Looks like I might have to. I just got off the phone with them trying to schedule an appointment. They told me that there was nothing they can do and that there were no open recalls on my truck for the frame, that I would have to pay out of pocket. And in addition if they looked at the truck and deemed it unsafe to drive they wouldn't release the vehicle.. I cancelled the appointment and told them I'll have to reconsider my options - I mean I bought the truck from them in October and barely put on 10k miles on it... guess I should have looked into it more before I bought the damned thing.
She did tell me my truck was sprayed in 2014.

Was it from a Toyota Dealer? They should have done an additional inspection.

Yep I bought it from Acton Toyota in Acton, MA who was partnered from the used car dealership next door. They also did all the service work on the truck on the warranty that came with the truck. 3mo/3000 miles bumper to bumper and 12mo/12000 miles power train.

That is complete BULLSHIT!!!! Do you have any local news stations that have a "on your side" group? I'd start with them.

15 years from in service date, so for example my truck in service date was sometime in October 2006, so the coverage will be until October 2021.

Got my inspection scheduled in about a week. 'Unfortunately' did undercoat my truck with Rust Bullet just months prior to the service campaign going public back in fall 2013. Most of the frame, main rails for instance look brand new as they were easy to get to and prep well, but under the engine and around the open c channel by the fuel tank and rear wheels was a different story and much more difficult to do a proper prep and paint job and it shows now. Those sections paint is peeling off and rust shows underneath. What I also don't like which is hard to see is there are spots where the bottom lip of the c frame around the rear wheels seems to be splitting. Is that cause for concern as I would think water trapped in there will only accelerate the process. Especially the back area, I can start peeling off chunk of paint and uncover rust. Did not take a spare off yet to take a look at the cross members, but found a chunk fallen off on top of the spare so most likely won't be great. While most of the frame looks great after my rust paint job, some sections not so much?? Lot of areas around the back of the frame I could uncover rust under chipping paint...

Did you have a perforation on your frame or was it just surface rust?
