He was serious and said not to call him shirley.

It's taking up a bay space now. I'm sure they don't want it sitting there for two months waiting for a couple of bolts. He thought he might be able to get them in a couple of weeks. I'll put the over under at thanksgiving

I'd rather have buy back. Up to 8k in rentals now. 10k or whatever for frame. Just give me the cash

    Visually, yes...

It would have to be the same frame, how else would the parts fit back on it...
They're not going to do a complete redesign.

This is what I'm saying, They have had to change the metal specs, or they would be changing frames, ad infinitum...

Hi, I'm new, but I have had my eyes on this thread for a while.

I waited 7 months for all parts to come in. They gave me loaner at no charge and got my truck back on the morning of the 4th day. Toyota also replaced both leaf springs.

Just got my truck back. Seems tighter, quieter and more solid. It is missing a couple fender flare fasteners and a few push/pin fasteners on radiator cowling but that's all I see for now. I check it over more thoroughly over the next few days. For now, I'm happy.

my 2006 pre runner sport has the perferoration problem. Torwards the back of the frame where the metal is sandwiched together its rusted and starting to separate. I think mine is gonna be a fail...Im devastated. this truck is the only thing I own thats paid for and worth something. or at least I thought it was worth something. only 59,000 miles. I find it hard to believe my truck is gonna come out of getting a frame and being perfectly fine?

My 05 was just done and underneath looks almost like a new truck. I think your truck will be worth more with a new frame and the parts that come with it than the existing frame (possibly sprayed) and old parts. Also you can do some preventive maintence at reduced labor cost if you like while the truck is apart. I'm happy with mine but my frame was incredibly rusted.

I cleaned all the surface rust from my frame before Colorado got added to the recall list. Here is the worst still visible, the frame where it's bent together by the muffler is separating. Think this will qualify? I'm making an appointment for the next couple of weeks.

IF that's the worst I'd say no. TSB says "Perforations" . I'd wait until spring before March and get it inspected then ..... IMHO

There was paint coming off in a chunk by the stereotypical place by the cat, but I sanded it down and primed/painted it.

After 5 month wait, my tacoma is now getting new frame and parts. The dealer said my high pressure power steering hose is rusty but not leaking. Price to fix...$600! I researched a new hose costs about $80. Is it really that difficult to change this hose? Especially with engine already removed?

    No. It is very easy.
My truck had new ps fluid put in,so I would think something had to be taken apart.
