I thought my frame was going to pass but they managed to poke a big enough hole in it to fail. I purchased from Peruzzi in Hatfield but don't like their service deptartment. The only dealings I've had with Thompson have been concerning the frame but so far so good. Second day with truck and it looks new underneath!

I made an appointment at Thompson. Not sure I like how they want to handle it? They said to drop it off and they'll have it for a few days. If it passes the frame test, then they coat. I told them it was my option whether I wanted it coated!
If it passes, I want to be able to take it somewhere else to get a "second" opinion!

They didn't tell me that they would need it for a few days. I picked it up the same day of the inspection and was told they'd contact me when the parts came in.

I bought mine from Thompson and had the inspection done a week or two ago. Dropped it off the gave me a rental and I picked it up the next day. Said it would be like 5-6 months for the frame to come in. Did anyone get other new things from Thompson when they got it done. Hoping for new leaf springs

When you initially dropped it off, did they say they would keep it for a couple of days to do the spray if it passed? Do you recall who your service rep was?
As far as the leaf springs, I asked and they don't have any answers from Toyota yet.

You'll get new leaf springs with the frame replacement. I don't know if they will be the recall replacement springs. You'd hope that 6 months from now, Toyota will have a plan.

Yes if it only needed to be sprayed they would have kept it a couple of days. Don't recall the reps name

Don't drop it off, make an appointment to wait. The frame inspection shouldn't take more than an hour.

Fun fact. If they already have your frame on order which comes with new leaf springs but your current springs are broken they will hold your truck till the frame comes in (5-6 months)

yea i get a loaner until the frame comes in which could be 6 months. And all the rental trucks are out and apparently there is a list of people to get them when they come back. Man I was really hoping to get a 2016 tacoma for a few months.
Also are those my brake lines the busted leaf is rubbing against? They offer to come tow it

I recited my tacoma as a work truck from my boss/brother in law. First thing I did was call dealer for recalls. First they said just some seat belt screws. Then I mentioned I ran the VIN on the Toyota Web site and it said frame, springs and the seat belt. They said it may qualify for springs but there is no fix yet. Today I looked and sure enough the spring is broke all right. Called the dealer and they moved my appointment up but still a week away even when i said the spring is ruvbing on the brake linr. No holes in the frame by the cat's just rust everywhere and a hole in the front cap mount arm. I'm really hoping for a frame replacement along with new springs and lower control arms. Hipefully my loacal dealer is accomedating. Anyone in kingston ontario del with this issue yet?

    Hi
    My truck came from Kingston.
I am the second owner, and when I got it,a week later i found out after an inspection from my Toyota Dealer that the frame was gone.In fact it was the worst 2007 they ever encountered. Also i am pretty sure that guy that sold me the Tac knew dam well that it was rotten.
When i told him about it,he became offensive, and did nt want to talk to me any more!!??
Though the deal took many weeks, and until the truck was paid he was a great guy,but I guess we can t trust no one these days,I sure did learned my lesson.
Anyways, just to tell you that it did came from your town.I was very nervous for about a week or so,until Toyota Canada confirmed that they will change my frame.
I wish you the best .
    Cheers
    Charly
