So were unable to do the frame extension warranty? (i forget what it's called) I've got an 06 with a rusty frame. I ask I have a rusty frame, but it hasn't qualified for a new frame. I want to keep it as long as possible. I'm just thinking ahead of what I will be doing. Your input has helped me. I'm sorry this happened to you. I wish I had never brought this truck to Ca.

Thank you again. I sure hope something will come out of the NHTSA investigation in your favor. Good info about the SafeTCap. These trucks are so darn expensive, and I pray mine will last many more years. I go back for a final inspection in 2 weeks. My independent mechanic didn't find any holes, but layers of peeling rust. I would defiantly love to have a 4 runner for sure.
