Frame rust

I have noticed some semi concerning rust on my truck since I purchased it about a year 1/2 ago the previous owner coated the frame with some rubberized coating but missed some spots I have looked under the coating in some spots but there are some questionable rust areas.

Rubberized undercoating is the debbil.

 

Is the amount of rust bad should I be concerned? is the question.what can I do about the inside of the frame.

Typically if you can still see the original black coating its in good shape.

 

Ok are you taking about the inside of the frame I have wirewheeld and painted the frame rails I haven’t touched the inside of the frame.

The pic that shows the double layer where the leaf spring mount is it- you can see where the metal is already starting to delaminate. Do you need to scrap the truck tomorrow- no, but the clock is ticking.

 

What can I do about the part that is delaminating.

 

Treat it with a rust preventative to keep it from getting worse.

 

I don’t live in the rust belt, were can I get fluid film is it like a oil.

Where do you live? Im curious to see if there are dealers near you. and yes you can buy it online, but having it sprayed in by a professional would be better

 

The last pic looks a little concerning. Personally I would seriously consider unloading that truck and looking for a cleaner one. It’s not bad now so it’s probably still sellable for s decent dollar.
