    Hey all!

Myself and two other tacos are going to be headed down to Frank Raines on Saturday.

    One is headed from Sac
    One is headed from Lodi
    I am headed from Pittsburg/Antioch

Anyone else care to/free to join in with us?

Mostly stock tacos in this group. One guy running a mild lift, I am running aftermarket skids, etc.

    Looking to meet new peeps!

Is there camping and stuff to do there? Or just wheeling? Sounds fun but I'd be coming from the north bay with my wife and youngins, and they would want something more to do than more driving

They have campgrounds - yes and across the street from the campsites/off road area they have a playground/park that I saw thats called Frank Raines park. I believe they have hiking there as well.

Personally - I like the trail riding/creek crossing type of wheeling more than the crawling that some others might end up doing!

We were planning on going camping up north but it looks like it'll be rainy. This might be a good option... I'll confirm tomorrow!

I'll try to make it happen! Thanks for a new place to explore... they're tough to come by in this part of California

Definitely! It's an awesome place. I didn't spend too much time exploring the trails b/c I was by myself but there is a ton of open space there for both beginner and expert drivers. I went down to SoCal this past week and am amazed by how many options they have to go off-roading....it seems like the area immediately out of the Bay Area only has 2-3 OHV parks. It's disappointing.

Also...holy hell! You're the guy who's selling that roof rack lol I saw that on CL a couple weeks ago but held off as its not something I really need at the moment. If you do end up coming on Saturday I definitely want to check it out!

Ha! Yea that's me! As a tacoma world person though, invest your money in @Dissent86. His design is way better and allows the use of other brands like Thule or Yakima. I'm in talks with him about a bed rack but I'm gunna have to hold off till later this year for finance and availability issues

    Here ya go https://dissentoffroad.com

His stuff DOES look bad ass and that front bumper is ultimately what I wanted to do in the long run as I want to build an overland similar to that of Total Chaos' Long Bed build. That aluminum will keep it lightweight!

@Dissent86 are you ever going to make aluminum skids? Do you also do steel slider fabrication?!

    Thanks guys!
Skids are in the works shortly! Hopefully sliders as well. Here's some pics of the new internally reinforced aluminum skids for the 100 series land cruiser, the Tacoma skids will be similar IMG_0478.jpgIMG_0481.jpg

Dude that looks bad ass!!! Are those fins to release/dissipate heat? I am assuming everything you implement has some sort of purpose.

Next weekend they are hosting an event that is a bit more family friendly and will be doing a huge tour of the park for both easy trails and harder ones if you were interested in camping there. Details below

In addition for anyone that hasn't been! I've only been once and haven't explored too much so @Pella if you know the park you'll probably be leading the pack lol
