Just pulled the three switch blanks above the mirror control.
Two of them have pre-wired sockets behind them.

    Now I have a dilemma.
Do I buy the Toyota Oem switches and get some new functionality for 'free'
Or are they useless and I carry on with my accessory switch install?

Anyone know what they are for?

Looking in the owners manual from front to back a couple times I finally found one diagram that indicates left is for fog switch, and right is for inverter.
Neither I have installed from factory .... So just ignoring them and carrying on

Maybe this post will help the next guy that comes across them.

Got all excited for a sec ... Free diff lock! No :(

Buy the part and install it, i.e. diff lock, inverter, etc and the switch and you have a 'free' feature every time you flip the switch.

Even though the wiring harness is located behind the switch blank, there is usually some other, sometimes expensive, equipment or wiring that is missing somewhere along the line. You do not have the ability to simply plug in a switch and gain any functionality with any of those harnesses. They can make adding a feature a bit easier but there is more you'd need to buy or wire to make it all work.
