If I were to spray my entire undercarriage with this stuff do I:

    1. Have to prep the surfaces in any way other than the best cleaning I can do to get dirt off? Wire brush the surface rust off? What about grime?

    2. Worry about getting it on any components? eg transfer case, wiring harnesses, valves, etc?

    Lastly is this is clear?

How often would you have to reapply this stuff? Is it a once a year touchup deal?

The flyer that it came with did not really have instructions. It does say that it does not harm paint, plastic and rubber.

Another interesting thing is that it also says that it inhibits the build up of ice.

Got my sample yesterday, thanks Dan. Tomorrow I'll try it on my Dakar leafs. They don't squeek now but have some rust because the guy that used them for 8 months before me liked to play in the snow.

I used the stuff on my security gate latch/knob and it seems that it was more able to "creep" into spots, more so than PB blaster that I have ben using. We'll see how long it lasts.

Thanks for the heads-up. I guess I'll have to find something else to try it on.

He's using very high pressure air which is foaming it up a lot. Even still, that foam emulsion should break in a few minutes, and all will be well. A little goes a long way, no need to slop it on heavy.

To form in most cases yes this is true, but it's another story once it has started already. You're just sealing in the air that's already there and it will continue to corrode beyond what you can see until one day it expands and cracks the paint outward.

He's saying that the FF is sealing in the existing air if rust has begun. But doesn't Fluid Film get absorbed?
