These look awesome. Can anyone comment on the possible rigidity/strength of the steel one? Could it be seen as a simple and lightweight skid plate in addition to securing the cats?

    Just getting started.
I got the 304 stainless for my v6 and it’s rock solid. I’m not sure about the precise gauge used but it’s thicker than other cat shields I’ve seen and I have no doubt it would provide some protection on the trails.

Pulled the trigger just now on the 304 stainless. Too many tweakers around here (SoCal) stealing cats, so any bit of extra protection will sure help! I'll post pix here when done.

My Miller cat shield is in! I got the 304 stainless. The shield showed up quickly and was well packed. All hardware was included and it was simple to assemble and install.

Did the install myself, so I used the stock 12mm bolts to support the rear facing part of the shield while I lined up the front three security screws. Everything lined up and went perfectly!

I'm seeing stories in my local social media about daylight cat thefts at our local Target and movie theater. While I know this won't be 100% effective for a determined thief, it does make it more difficult for the idiot tweaker that wants a quick score.

I like the shield. I don't work for Miller and I paid full boat for it. I'm happy now!

P.S. I was at the Toyota dealer today, the service writer was telling me that they are back ordered 4-6 months for new catalytic converters.

Does this come in stainless anymore? Website just says aluminum. I didn’t see anyway to select material.

The website has the aluminum and the stainless listed. I'm thinking about it, but they charge more than double than other cat shields for shipping to Hawaii.

I’m attempting to install MillerCat shield on my 17Taco now. M8 tamper proof to replace existing bolts (1 of each pairs), got it.. what would be the torque for existing hex bolts? M8 tamper proof ones are 68-135in.lbs, got that.

I bought it and installed on an SR 2WD double cab though, I believe double cab 5 ft bed and access cab 6 ft bed has exact wheel base so pretty sure it'll fit

Hey guys here’s the deal. Millercat website does NOT say that it will specifically fit an access cab, therefore I was asking if anyone had put one on one.
Thanks for the response altho they were off no help. I was trying to make sure one fit so I would not have to return it and pay return shipping. Ultimately I just said fuck it and bought and installed it today and just like I hoped, it fit. So if anyone else is wondering, yes it fits a 2.7L 2wd access cab. Mine is a 2021 with no lift.
