Free springs... 2WD and contemplating lift

    Yep, no issues with stock UCAs. With aftermarket UCAs since you get a little more down travel extended brake lines are strongly recommended but still not required.

    As for the ride, it was firmer being that the stock springs were so preloaded, I prefer the firmer ride. The only time it wouldn't feel great was sharp drops as there was very little down travel remaining.

    Awesome thanks man, makes sense with the drop offs. I found the 884 coils that were mentioned earlier, that isn't super expensive and seems like the best option for ride quality. Says they are 2.5" springs, safe to assume they would settle at about ~1.75? No plate bumper, or winch. Stock front end.

    No everything was within spec. but caster numbers were lower than i would of liked and the stock UCA's limited droop as they would hit the coil and the ball itself would be close to binding. SPC arms fixed that all up, and they are MUCH more beef than stock.

    So happy to hear that, I think i'd gotten a case of Dr. google with everything I was reading about these lol. I like to do my research before I make a post. Glad to know I can do the UCA's later and not fuck anything up. Still hard to stomach $700.00 for a pair of arms though haha. Thanks man

    the 884's gave me right at 2" in the front, thats 4x4 6 cyl, no aftermarket bumper/winch, etc... I did 1.5" aal, and i went from 3/4" rake (back end high) to 1/2" rake (back end high). No problem on alignment (other than seized up bolts) and no vibrations, shudders, etc...

    I would guess with 884 and 2" springs in the back you would be close to level. I did to the lean spacer on driver side, and driver and passenger side are dead level with each other.
