    It makes it so the CV axles don't spin while they're unlocked. Your boots will not tear nearly as quickly; especially if you are lifted and the fins rub on each other. Some people cite mileage differences, but from people who have tested it, the mpg savings are negligible. Plus if you do have a locker, but only want to engage one side, you can do that and pick which one engages. Basically less wear and tear on the CV's is worth it alone depending on your setup.

    I dunno will they be compatible with LT length shafts? First gens don't get a LT option because the shafts are different diameters. Hopefully they do.

    The original post mentions LT axle shafts. Second gen LT front axles fit stock CVs, so I see no reason these wouldn't work since they fit stock axles.

    pretty sure you can use tundra shafts for the 1st gen... then convert this is 1st gen ifs?

    That's the key - if so it's game on. I think the shafts are different sizes for whatever bearings fit the manual spindles so hopefully something can happen with this. The more I think about it the less sure I am about it working.
