Im running bilstein 5100's with a freedom offroad uca. Im using moog 81078 coils which should give around 1.5" +/- lift by themselves. I currently have the cam bolts maxed out and there is still visible positive camber. The passenger side of the truck has the coil seat at the bottom of the shock and the drivers side has the seat at the top adjustment. Switching from top to bottom seat I only lost about 1/2" of lift. I'm not sure where to go from here. I no longer have the stock ucas to compare. Does anyone have any similar experience with the FO UCA's.

Sorry for blurry photos, my phone will no longer focus.

Do you have the sides reversed?

Is the truck sitting on level ground? Looks like you have it up on jack stands.

Drive the truck around the street and hit bumps really good to jounce the suspension, that should settle it a little.

Its on a fairly level part of my drive way. There is a stand underneath but its not supporting the truck.

I set the shocks to lowest setting and it looks a little better after driving it. Driver side looks about straight, passenger side still has a little bit of camber. Ill have to get an alignment to see how bad it is.

Any update on this? I'm considering buying a set of freedom offroad UCA's. Have you tried reaching out to FO?

I haven’t gotten the truck in for alignment. I’ve been busy with holiday travel and long hours at work. Hoping to get it in the shop next week, ill update once I get an alignment.

Sorry I kind of forgot about this thread but here's the results. They didn't even attempt to touch the camber because I have the cam bolts maxed. Took it wheeling last weekend going in for another alignment at the end of the week with new wheels and tires.

the 1.9 camber is hardly noticeable and I plan on having a set of tall skinny highway tires for riding north so, they will be rotated fairly often. Definitely asking for some toe in because you have to fight her at 65+ on the interstate.

New wheels and tires won’t do anything to your alignment.

I’ve actually never heard of that brand, but they look like another total chaos lookalike.

And what’s the deal with those cam bolts, those arent stock.

I had to cut the originals out. Truck basically has a new front end except for cv axles and bearings. They are designed so you can install them either way, so you don't have to remove the steering rack to remove the LCA. I installed them the same way as stock because I didn't want to cut them to clear my steering rack boots. The plates are the same size as stock so I don't think these are causing the issue. Either way I don't think I can do much without opening the slot the cam bolt rides in or bending the steering knuckle. I'm also considering adding another .5" of lift to clear the body a little more but its going to affect my camber. Town Fair Tire I get 90 days free alignments so.

That's a lot of rust! Have you had your frame inspected for any problem rust?

There's a soft spot on both sides where the sway bar mounts are. Going to patch them next summer, it's nothing dangerous at this point. Maybe 3-4 inches long on the bottom of the frame, walls are solid. Kinda funny the frame and cab aren't terrible on this truck considering it spent it's whole life in Mass. Bed is gone and is either getting replaced or flatbed. I replaced almost all the hardware. Brand new front end except cv axles and rear end has been replaced down to the backing plates for the brakes.

You kinda have two possibilities as I see it.

    Either:

    1) the UCAs you have are not built correctly to correct for the camber of the lift (they certainly appear installed correctly, but I've honestly never heard of that brand), or

    2) all that rust has done something fierce to your frame, and everything is, to use a technical term, cattywompus.

I would figure out a way to measure that frame, and ensure all the control arm mounts are were they are supposed to be, relative to each other...

Another (slim) possibility is that your LCAs are damaged or bent. That should be pretty obvious however.

You've clearly put a lot of work into this frame already, so it'd be a shame for it to all be for naught. But better to find out now, than even later in the process.

Get your alignment figured out before you get new tires, or you'll just eat up those new tires.

Not sure. The UCA’s are suppose to correct the loss of caster from the lift. I’m definitely going to bring the truck to a different shop for a second opinion. I got a free alignment when I bought the tires. I work with some people who also have their hands in the auto industry. I’m sure one of them can recommend a good shop for an alignment on a lifted vehicle.

Because all the shop did was set toe and didnt even bother to do a caster sweep to see what the measurement was pure laziness.

So maybe the caster is to low and thats why its all over the road at highway speed. Hard telling not knowing.

I just went through what is exacly happening to you. My left was 2 degrees positive as well. Called Freedom and their UCAs only reposition the ball joint. They dont claim to adjust for Camber. It was an oversight on my part I assumed they were all the same. Lessoned learned.
