:bananadance: All of you military personnel will understand this. I picked up my DD 214 yesterday, and am on terminal leave right now, after being mobilized for the last 5 years. I am going to use this time off to Blackout my badges, instal my grill, hid fog lights, plasmaglow tailgate lights, and detail the crap of my truck.

And after all that waitin' that thing seems pretty anti-climactic doesn't it? Boring little piece of gov't paperwork that actually represents so much for those of us that know what it is. Enjoy your time off but be prepared for a shock if you plan on staying out. Everything is expensive, nobody is hiring, and the handshakes and thank you's don't pay the bills at the end of the month.

Good luck, congrats, and thanks for doing something most Americans don't have the cohones to do themselves. ;)

    Thanks to my sister.....

I decided to move to the DC area. Job market is a little bigger. My sister got me an interview with her company that has the JSF contract. Bad news is that they offered the job to someone else. Mainly because they thought that I would be bored with it. They came back, and called me in for an interview for a different job that they thought that I would be more fitted for. All but officially offered me the job. I'm a little psyched. Got my foot in the door, and am working on my degree in International Relations... Deals directly with the companies outlook. Have the potential to advance in the future. Can't wait for the official offer, although, I am still looking, because I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.
