Im guessing thats where most mount them? Does it make any sense to mount it in the bed? I was going to mount mine directly above my outlet in the bed and just plug directly into that? Any thoughts?

They get hot as fuck. Just don't put it anywhere that's confined. You need airflow around it. I actually drape a wet rag over mine if I'm airing up more than one truck.

I have the medium size ARB compressor. It's fast enough, and small. It's set up to run lockers too. Their dual compressor needs a tank and other stuff if you ever do lockers. The small one is for lockers only, not really for airing up tires.

Wellllll being that I don't have lockers, nor do I plan to have them anytime soon, all I would be using it for is tires.

You'll be one step closer to lockers, should you ever decide to go that route. Or at least you'll have a nice compressor that's quick and convenient.
