hahah Nice, Anytime I go back to visit Las Vegas, I land, collect my bags, get a rental car and head to Roberto's... I think last time I was there for a couple weeks for work I ate there almost once a day.

 

There's no shame in that, no calories or nutrition facts anywhere to be found so we can just continue assuming it's healthy....

This weekend a guy told me he was living on the billboard above Roberto's for 3mo before the cops told him to move.

 

There is a place over by me on Beverly and orlando..... My wife and I have made fun of it for years, as it's on the way to my sons school.
One day she came home with some egg rolls and told me how good they were. I really didn't believe her as I have only ever had soggy, virtually tasteless egg rolls from mom and pop places as well as chain restaurants. It was the best fucking egg roll I have ever had.... the place "vegan glory"

 

Sounds like something you could only do around the San Diego area.

Golden Pheasant in Torrance, CA has some good chinese food. The I have $10 and want 10 pounds of lo mein kind of place, but tasty all the same. 223rd just west of Vermont by the rite-aid. Also, Tacos Locos #4 in that same area is pretty amazing.

Fried Face hugger?

 

Used to go to a place in Torrance many years ago to a all you could eat place. Was like 12 bucks and they had good crab legs. My friend and I were asked to leave many times.

 

For me, we call that: Applebees. A friend used to be the bartender there, and nothing good ever happened at that place.

My gf has never met a Filipino. And has never been to Mira Mesa. And is a terrible cook. BUT. She can make the most authentic lumpia I’ve ever eaten. It blows my mind.





This is basically what I eat every day almost. My doc says my cholesterol levels are shockingly low for how I describe my eating habits. So I just keep trucking.

My doc also asked “do you smoke?” I said “no”

“That’s good” he says.

“I chew though. And I don’t spit, I just gut it..” I mentioned.

“Oh that’s fine. As long as you don’t smoke” he says.

He may be questionable. But I’m on board.

 

She also confused pizza rolls with hot pockets...so I believe she is unforgivable in my eyes.

 

Exactly. How she masters one of the most complicated ethnic dishes ever is beyond me.
