Cbi overland bars and yakima load warrior

I dont plan to remove the slide so i am buying a bed mat today and was wondering what everyones thouhhts are on either triming it to fit around the slide or remove the slide and punch holes thru the mat then mount the slide oztopo of the mat. Any thoughts would be appreciated
