So I have been looking at buying another truck that's 4cyl for my DD, I finally find one in some random classified listing that fits my need perfectly. Even has the same tires I would put on it.

I call up my 'friend' and ask him if he wants to go take a look at the truck right now, He agrees and I go pick him up.

We get there and the truck is perfect, guy is solid and everything looks good so I say I will be right back with the money.

On the way he asks me to drop him off at home because he has gotta do some housework. So I do and head off to the bank.

About a half hour later show up with the money and my 'friend' has already came and picked it up.

Call him up and he makes up some bs story about really needing the truck while he already has a new Lexus and easily has enough money to spend on any truck he wants.

    What would you do?

Depends how good a "friend" he is...do you have any leverage or any way to blackmail his ass if it comes to that?

I'd be pissed though, that's a dick move.

i feel like you made a verbal contract with the seller of the truck and could possibly take your buddy to court. im no lawer though... i think it might be hard to win the case with little evidence.

but anyways i wouldnt take it to court cause its a waste of time. id lose the dick friend and find a new truck
