lets not place blame on the kid.

    we cant say "selfish"

sometimes people live thru misery for OTHERS.........

in that case, maybe he wasnt soo selfish for the last few yrs, and was living thru something we dont know about and was being SELFLESS as long as he could.

Its not an easy decision and Im sure he had his reasons..... besides, nothing makes 1 feel worse than "coming to" in a hospital bed surrounded by the ones you love/hurt. So even if he made it, the burden of seeing what he did certainly would put more stress on his shoulders.

lets please try to stay away from the selfish comments....
the kid was obviously suffering for some reason, and we have no right to pass judgment.

OP, we are here for you.

    Quoted for brilliance.

kind of unfair to pass judgement on someone who don't really know and it seems to me he was struggling with the selflessness and the burden became to much. OP seems like he was a great kid and a great friend. keeping your family and his in my prayers

    .
I'm not passing judgement on the kid in that sense of saying selfish. The context i was using in terms of what a suicide does to the rest of the family who is left with a lot of terrible feelings caused by this tragedy. Sorry for the confusion.

This is what i saw when he said selfish, not the way that would indicate disrespect.

In any case, somethings we just cant control and the way that the whole thing went down there will be questions that will never have answers.

My condolences for your family man.

William's Uncle Bubba just came up to the door to ask us if we knew. He said that from what he understands, William did it because his PawPaw told him that he was not going to be moving back here to Virginia. All he wanted was to live with his mom here, and to be able to see me and my brother, because we were apparently the only real friends he had. He figured life wasn't worth living because he wasn't able to live here with us.

Went and seen his Momma a little while ago. She's crying, of course, but she seems to be handling it better than I had anticipated. I let her know that my house was always open for her, and that we are all here if she needs to talk. They haven't released his body yet, so we don't know when the funeral and all of that will be, but we do know it will be in Elizabeth City. I don't care if I have to stop every twenty minutes to put coolant in the truck, we are going.

Thank all of you, for real. It's heartening to know that there are so many thinking of and praying for William's family. I figure maybe God will take note if he's got a lot of people praying to him on it, as childish of me as that may be. It does seem like there's been a lot of stuff happening around me lately, and I can't explain it. I figure it's just our time to have a real streak of bad luck.

I've got a leak that I fixed once already, thought it was the gasket around where the thermostat goes into the block, on the right side. But it's still leaking. I can make short distances with it, I just gotta keep topping off every so often. With how light I've been driving it, (maybe 10 miles a day, tops) I refill every five to seven days. It still looks like it's coming from the same spot, because that's where I see it dripping from. It'll get my to Carolina and back, I'll just have to stop every so often and throw some more coolant mix in there.
