Friends in North California need help

TW is an amazing group that came together when I learned we lost our home to #Detwiler fire this past July. I've copied this directly from my own Facebook post, in hopes of paying forward the generosity that was shown to my husband Treacy and myself.


As most of you know, I love my truck!

Most of you also have seen the news of the devastation from fires in the Sonoma and Napa California areas.

Here’s a little story that ties the two together and I’ll be asking for your assistance at the end:

I ‘hang out’ on a forum for Tacoma owners where we talk about truck mods and all matter of other daily BS. Except for two individuals, I’ve never met any of them in person.

On July 19, we learned our own home had been lost to #Detwiler fire. Within days, hundreds of these Tacoma forum members from across the country came together and took up a collection for us. I am still astonished at the overwhelming generosity from complete strangers.

Yesterday I learned/confirmed that at least one of the Tacoma forum members has lost their home to the fires in NorCal.

It’s time for Treacy and I pay it forward.

I am personally taking up a collection to purchase gift cards. (These were a blessing to receive as we needed random things up front and odd things down the line).

If you want to help, but don’t know where or what to donate, I’ll handle it.

Im making my PayPal address available to y’all and I’ll be getting gift cards sent to this family as soon as a decent balance is available. I will continue to send every last cent donated but I want to get these folks something-anything! right away!

In what way?

Our friends on here have lost the their homes in Northern California due to the fires. They are now homeless and have nothing, how is this confusing?

We in BC have had our own fire losses this year, some families close to us.
