I'm minding my business filling up my truck and some douche bag in a BMW pulls into the pump in front of me and bumps into the front of my truck. Front bumper to front bumper. Douche bag then starts to yell at me saying it was MY fault for how I was parked and that I should have gone to a different pump. Mind you, I had been at the pump before him and there was another car filling up in front of me when I got there.

Little to no damage to my truck. Pretty much the same for his car. Basically just told him he is crazy and has issues if he thinks him hitting a parked car is anyone elses fault but his own, finished fueling and left.

    People are idiots. End rant.

He was a white guy in his late 50s early 60s.

He even had the nerve to point to the pumps on the other side of the station and said, "You should have gone over there to fill up." I said buddy, i was at this pump before you even drove into the the F'ing gas station!!!

Nah, I'm a cop. Nothing they can do. Its a private property "collision" with little to no damage. My options are to get his info and make an insurance claim or forget about it and move on.

I'm not gonna waste the cops time or waste my time making an insurance claim. If he nailed it and dented the bumper I would have gone the insurance route. Better to move on and rant about it on TW :D.

I would have informed him that you are an off duty LEO and to have a nice day.

I gotta say, you handled the situation well. If it was me things would have gone a bit differently. I've got no patience for stupidity.

I would have been tempted to pay for my gas and then back up and then accidentally go forward and smash into his little beamer. You could have claimed sudden acceleration LOL. I know it would have damaged your bumper .... but then you would have had an excuse to get a new custom bumper. So .... in your case ... it would be a win win situation!!!

Just kidding ..... kind of ;)

    Yeah-don't you know the rule????
IF the driver who hit your car is either a BMW or a Volkswagen Anything owner, then their inadequacies are YOUR fault.
