Excuse the noobish question, but will both the 17x8 and 17x9 fit my truck? What are the advantages of one over the other? Which one are most folks going with?

If you look at the manufactures specs for the tires you want they give you a range of supported rim sizes, so it really depends on your tire size. For example, the stock Dunlaps:

    • Tire SizeP245/75R16
    • Speed RatingS
    • Load Index109
    • Load RangeSL
    • SidewallBlack
    • Uniform Tire Quality Grade (UTQG)300/B/B
    • Max Load (lbs)2,271
    • Max Inflation Pressure (PSI)51

    • Approved Rim Width (in.)6.5 - 8.0

Mine are approved for 7.0-9.0 so I should be fine either way. I just didn't know if one width was better than another or are they for different applications?

In theory, to be taken with a grain of salt:

If you're spending time off-road and lower your air pressure, the thinner wheel will hold a bead better.

The wider rim will keep the tread flatter with the ground and allow for more even tread wear.

What is the consensus on the 16x8 at 0 offset or -10 offset for rubbing? I will be looking to fit either a 265/75/16 or a 285/75/16 BFG AT KO2 tire to the wheels, with approx. 3" lift (either Billy all around or a spacer). I know there are a few variables at play here, but ideally I'd like to pick the set-up that will improve my stance while not requiring major trimming and/or modifications. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Their store says free shipping to lower 48 states and Canada, however when I put that I am from Canada it tries to bill me with $200.00 extra for shipping...???

0 offset should be perfect fit - but -10 would stick 1/2" further out which normally looks a little better and should be more flush with fender. But also more chance to rub from my past experience. I am looking at same wheel but with falken wildpeak tire.

Here is one i ordered in -10 with 265/75/16

What's your set up? Tire size and any lift? Also which offset did you go with? Wheels look to be 17's but could be wrong

Bilstein 5100's all round and set at 0.85" up front. Tires are KO2 275/70/70 on 17x9 with what I believe is a -12 offset. I had some fender rub to begin with then once I cleared that issue noticed I was still rubbing against my cab mounts so they will be getting chopped some evening this week when I find time. They only rub if I am braking, turning and hit a bump or pull into the driveway. Other than that its fine but I want maximum clearance so I don't get any unnecessary wear on the new tires.

They are 17's with -10. I forgot that I went with the 17x8 over the 17x9 which has a -12 offset.

Looking to put the 16x8 bronze on my 2017 lifted 3 inches with 286/75/16.
Ditching these steel MB wheels that came with the tires on a trade.

Stance 'look' set aside, is the 0 or -10 going o be the best fit? I don't want any issues with rub. @Discount Tire Direct

PS: do they not make the one with the replaceable rock rash rim anymore? The zx or something?
