Are you asking if you can run wheel spacers on the MK6 or your current 18x9 wheels?

Technically you can run wheel spacers on any wheel (generally speaking) but how the overall fitment turns out depends on the offset of the wheel as well as the stance you're trying to achieve.

    Ah, I gotcha!

Yes, you can run them on your 18x9 ET0 MK6 wheels just bear in mind that 0 offset is somewhat aggressive already. By adding 1.25" wheels spacers you are effectively changing the offset to -32mm and the wheels are going to sit 1.25" further out from where they are sitting now.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Real happy with the decision to go gunmetal and 0 offset. Even happier America's Tire charged $76 otd to swap the tires over/tire rotation. Discount Tire, you guys rock!

Just ordered a gunmetal set in 16x8 0mm offset from @Discount Tire Direct on eBay. It was an INCREDIBLE deal with the 10% right now ($405 shipped, no tax). Excited to mount these to the Wildpeaks!

So like some others, I was unlucky and the MK6's that were shipped to me don't fit over the hub. The bore is just slightly too small to get over my hub, Discount Tire even tried to sand away some paint from the bore.

Considering I'm not the first or only one who's had this issue, I'm assuming it's a bad QA issue by Level 8. I'm obviously annoyed by this even though Discount Tire and DTD are working out an exchange, but I'm FOR SURE NOT buying these MK6's again. If only they could give me 2 hours of my life back I'd feel slightly better about this...

obhuan, I'm sorry you have had an issue with the Level8 MK6 wheels. I don't recall having an issue with the fitment but in your case there is. We apologize for that. Glad to hear they are getting you fixed up with another wheel.

Agreed, but as far as wasted time goes - modding isn’t without risk. If trial and error isn’t an option, leave everything alone. It happens.

Fair point. To be clear, I don't blame DTD and am thankful for the effort they made coordinating an exchange with Discount Tire. I paid a bit more for a different set of Method wheels that should show up at my local Discount Tire early-next week. I hope they communicate the issue to Level 8/TSW.

Also, a product recommendation for both Discount Tire and DTD websites -- please add a filter option to hub bore size. 106mm seems to not be the standard Tacoma's, the Method's I ordered are 106.25mm and the marginal difference should be enough to clear my hub. 106mm had to be forced on and forced off with significant effort...

As my previous message stated, I don't blame DTD! You guys are always a pleasure to deal with. I think it's a QA issue at Level8 and perhaps an issue from Toyota making the hub slightly larger on 4x4/TRD OR models (haven't fact-checked this, but this is what was told to me in-store).

Thanks again for working with my Local DT store on rectifying the issue. I'll be back to buy my 285's in a few months

So I see on DTD that all they have is the 17x8 in -10 but on eBay you can find these with 0 offset. When I messaged the seller on eBay he said the 0 offset he is selling won’t fit? Is this true?

Thank you for touching base with us here, subspd.

In most instances the 0 offset is ideal, but I'm happy to double check this fitment.

I assume this wheelset is for your 06 4Runner, is that correct?

Actually it’s for my 08 gx470 but that should be the same fit as a 06 4runner

Thank you for the vehicle details.

The 0 offset works and as long as you do not go aggressively large with the tires size, you should not have any rubbing.
