Huge shout out to Matt @Discount Tire Direct. He worked through all my questions and concerns I had with ordering a set of these. A couple delays out of his hands but he was able to make everything work and I’m 1000% happy with everything he did.

Really love the color combo of the wheels with the silver TRD center caps.

I have the 4 "Level 8" caps for sale if anyone is interested in them.

 

Got mine on today, wrapped with 265/75 Wilpeakes. Matt was a huge help and answered quite a few questions that I had. Ordered Tuesday and they showed up at my door on Thursday.

@Discount Tire Direct , question from a Canada Guy here.

I'm, thinking of picking up a set of these wheels along with a set of Wildpeaks this coming spring from you guys. I believe my cheapest option would be to ship them to a US/Canada border near me, drive across and pick them up. I've seen a few people on here who have had issues balancing Wildpeaks and have had to return them to swap out a faulty tire (great service from their local Discount Tire).

Based on this, do you have any suggestions for Canadians who might not have the convenience of going back to a local Discount IF they have issues with shaky tires?

Thank you for your question DLillest. As you mention the least expensive shipping method is shipping to an address in the US. There have been a few problems with Wildpeaks balancing correctly but overall it is not a widespread problem. Either way, if there is an issue where a tire is bad and cannot be balanced Discount Tire Direct will still stand behind it, although it would be a bit more cumbersome if a tire needed to be shipped back from the same address and replaced.

 

Agreed, but still good to know about the warranty. Ill keep this in mind because I'm definitely interested in a wheel/tire combo come this spring or once one of the promotion presents itself.

This would still save me a ton of money vs. buying local even with the shipping, gas and conversion on my end.

Can I assume mounting+balancing is included in wheel/tire combos before shipping or is this an additional cost?
