    Not Yet -
Ocean Lover From Southern California. Traded in my 2011 Highlander (no more mom car...) & bought a new Tacoma TRD 4x2 double cab, I've always been a truck girl. I admit I am missing some of the luxuries my highlander had, however I am getting used to my truck. Got about 240 miles on it now.
I go to the beach every weekend and paddleboard. I have an 11' board that I used to slide in my highlander perfectly. I have had some challenges with my truck...lets just say, I have had to pull over quite a bit to secure my board during the short drive to the beach. Carrying it in my truck bed (short bed), it sticks out of the bed a lot. Looking for some different solutions for tying down my board and transporting it.
Glad I found this forum, I could use some first timer advice.

    Thank you all!

    Welcome Laura!!

Yes! Another lady in the house!!!

A roof rak would be ideal, although....If you're older (like me) lifting things that high isn't as easy as it used to be.

Another option - if you have a trailer hitch, you could utilize the trailer hitch (and also, for leverage and lifting) - something similar to this.....

There are aftermarket racks/setups available. If you search "Paddleboards on a tacoma" or even "Kayaks on a tacoma" and hit IMAGES...you'll see all sorts of different options.

    Good Luck!
