I'm good at doing the wrenching stuff it's the fabrication that I am not at all inclined on. And I am looking to gusset well everything I should to get my truck dialed in. Along with light bars, sliders, bumper valance. Just looking for good fabricators I guess to be more specific

It's tough, California has a lot of good Tacoma fab shops. My girlfriend gets a kick out of it because she's from California and I get all my stuff from there. I know of a fab shop in Rockwall and coincidently he is from Califirnia.

Sweet! That's not too far from Anna. Hopefully that will work out. But I guess investing in some welding equipment and starting to learn wouldn't be the worst idea haha
    Thank dude!

I'm still teaching myself to v a better welder, I started 10 years ago welding bolts together and making people haha. But if your in Anna my buddy has a scrapyard in Mckinny and I've helped him a few time making dump truck beds. He can weld for you if need be.

I've wanted to learn to weld for years. To cheap to buy a welder and dont know if i would really use it enough to make it worth the purchase.

I made the trip twice. The first time was fueled by a lot of coffee and monster and I made it from OC to Houston in ~22 hrs straight. The second time I was towing a trailer and had to drive much slower. I decided to stop at a nice hotel somewhere on the side of the freeway in the middle of the dessert. Just use your best judgement and choose one that looks nice and doesnt have as much traffic. I chose not to park in a city because theres much more people going through the city which could result in theft of my belongings on my trailer. The nice motels dont have many people driving near them so it felt safer to me. I did this and had 0 problems with my stuff being stolen even in an open trailer.

Oh wow. That's crazy! I wasn't sure about getting a trailer, but if I did I planned on getting a closed one. And 22 hours straight!!! Are you sure you didn't maybe snort a few lines with the coffee and monster  I could never pull that off. I appreciate the help. I wanted to stop on the larger cities not just a truck stop in the middle of nowhere but I will have to lookout for places like that.

HAHA I was really determined to get there. I just wanted the drive to be over with. Not sure if it's an actual problem but the way I thought about it is that a city has a lot of people who are driving/walking around. They might get interested in a trailer and go get a truck and come back, hitch it up, and leave. I didn't stop at a truck stop necessarily. It was like a Hilton or Marriot but just in the middle of nowhere. No cars/pedestrians walking by and the guy at the front desk was nice enough to let me park my truck/trailer where it could be seen out the front door and he said he'll keep an eye on it.

22 hours!!!!! Dam, Speed limit was 55 last time I drove it but straight through was if I remember 32 and 36 w/ 2 ppl.
And yea, they were strict about 55, you could slide 60, that's about it.

If that's actually the speed limit I'm going to shoot myself haha. I love how in Utah the speed limit goes up to 80!!

Its been a year or so since i've been out to AZ but i think the speed from Flagstaff to DFW stays around 75 mph most of the way.

I always love when i get past a city and see the speed limit go up to 75+ until i see my gas mileage at the next fill up. My truck gulps fuel over 65 but my heavy foot cant stop!

Crap I forgot about that. Glad I only have 33's haha. Good thing is gas out here is surprisingly at like $2.30/gal on average so I'm guessing it's just as cheap throughout the drive!
