    Hello, Tacoma World!
It's time I stop lurking and come into the light.

First, I need to state publicly that my Brother was right all along... He chose the right truck! His 01 Tacoma cleared 300,000 miles before it cleared a guard rail and met its doom (not his fault) while my 00 Dakota is sitting dead with only 180,000 miles on the clock! (It did manage to clear my wallet a few times over the years!)

When he pulled up in his new built-to-order 2016 TRD Off-Road, I new it was only a matter of time before I'd enter the World of Tacoma. Then he recently told me about all the fun he was having at organized off-road events and I just couldn't take it anymore!
I picked up and 05 TRD Sport with only 106,000 miles and a new frame (thank you recall) and began researching how to modify it so I can keep-up.
Not surprisingly, I consistently found the best answers to my questions here and am starting to get in trouble with the misses for reading my phone instead of paying attention to whatever it is shes been going on about. (Must remember to nod and smile.) =D

Anyhow, my plan is to transform my rig into a more than capable overlander/daily driver which should prove a fun balancing act.
I've got a solid start but, a long way to go.
Thankfully, it seems I've found the right community to help guide my journey!

    ~D
