Hey y'all, happy to be here! Just bought my first taco in Oct 2020. Has anyone else dumped a Tesla for a Taco? Their customer service is non-existent. Dealer wrecked my car while in for warranty work. 4 attempts later couldn't get it back to original condition. Had a 97 4runner back in the day that I sold at 297k miles and always regretted letting it go, so I ditched the Model 3 and back to Toyota I came. Went with a Cement 2020 TRD Off-Road 4x4 Premium with the sunroof, heated leather, LED headlight & foglights, etc. I found this forum and started digging for lift info. Lots of good info/perspectives here. Ultimately I went with the Rancho kit bc it came with the UCAs and complete strut assemblies up front. I think it also came with the diff drop and possibly even the driveshaft drop but I haven't crawled under to check (just got it back last night) Paid a local well respected shop to do the work so I could have the paper trail if I ever need anything covered under warranty. Install cost me $875 out the door including alignment. Toyota quoted $1400! Next up will be wheels and tires. Suggestions/insight welcome. Attached a photo of my newest obsession.

    Cheers!

    Daniel From Tennessee

I really enjoyed the car itself. Tesla Nashville just treated me so poorly it was hard to get over. You would have thought my money didn't spend the same as everyone elses! I put 40k miles on it and some young college grad got a good deal on a Tesla, win-win I guess.

yah I hear it all depends on how the dealer is. being near the HQ there are Teslas all over the place here and folks seem mostly happy.

My neighbor has a Tesla and has nothing but great experiences with the service. He went from a Ford pickup to a Tesla and says it's the best move he ever made. Hopefully I'll get a chance to own a RIVIAN one day. I drive his Tesla often and it's amazing. I'll keep my Toyota but for everyday I'm going electric eventually.

My cousin just bought a Model Y LR a couple of months ago. It's been back to the shop 2 times now for issues. Unfortunately the nearest service center is 75 miles away. It's quick. But once you get past that novelty.....meh.

    Nice rig. Welcome
