Personally not a fan of hydros up front, especially on a "mid-travel" kit due to a variety of reasons but if you're having issues with bottoming out you're likely not valved appropriately for you truck weight or driving style.

    x2

If you like the way they drive on road but they don't offer enough dampening off road you should look into adjusters. This is the primary benefit of having them. The issue i have with hydros is the motion ratio up front is roughly 2:1 and at the ideal ride height of close to 50/50 you're basically sitting on the bump at ride height.

4.9" stroke shock/2= 2.45" at ride height. Smallest common air bump is 2" so you have roughly .5" before you hit bump zone. You could shorten the bump to something like a 1" but that is an expensive modification for such little benefit IMO.

I understand the direction you are trying to steer, however I would dissagree and say that investing into the current setup to your expectations will get you further than pure wheel travel. Valving is the starting point.

I'm not going to get into how you spend your money or any of that. It's yours, you earned it (unassumingly), do what you want with it but the vast majority of people who think they NEED LT, don't.

there are definitely a few issues as i have added more weight to the truck since the last adjustment, but i went cheap on some of the components and now it's coming back to bite me so i'm looking at changing some stuff out and getting a little "sendier" if you will

i'm looking into the adjusters for sure but i passed up on them last time and it bit me so im trying to over correct in a way. but i also feel that i am definitely pushing past what the mt is really made for and i don't want to have to redo my redo of the suspension

Camburg has its own +2 inch coming out soon. I'm intrigued to see how it performs as it uses stock length coilovers. It also claims lot more travel than the others. Only time will tell how it does. 20210805_133619.jpg 20210805_133600.jpg
