Oh you right. Weird, they used to be a couple of grand difference when I was researching mine.

I just did the build your own to match my vehicle package and color, and surprisingly the Sport version was more expensive on their website than the OR version of my truck...

In my area, they still have that big gap though and the sports are cheaper than MSRP if going by the Toyota website (4x4 dlcb) not 4x2 or AC.

If you make sure you compare the same configurations they have always been priced exactly the same. You can look up in the Sticky Thread Section for the invoice and MSRP.
    7545 Manual DCOR $34485. - 2017 price $33530
    7543 Manual DC Sport - $34485. - 2017 price $33530
    7544 Auto DCOR - $36115. - 2017 price $35160
    7542 Auto DC Sport - $36115 - 2017 price $35160

Maybe they changed the transmission tune for 2018 and that lowered the estimated MPGs?

I got the OR because I personally think the hood scoop looks stupid and I like the black wheel wells, or whatever they are called. For practically the same price, I have nicer suspension for whenever I want to off-road, even if rare. To each his/her own.

Hey right on. Nothing wrong with that. I was just genuinely curious.

    Reasons I went OR:

    Much more compliant ride (softer),
I wanted a short bed. Sport is only offered in long bed with automatic (Canada)
I like the black flares and wheels that come on the OR
    Bigger rear diff.

Canadian ones also have painted rear bumpers with the double cab, nav, heated seats, homelink, dual zone auto climate, but no Sunroof. Really different packaging between USA and Canada...

I do however like the look of the hood scoop front and wish mine had it.

Don't put an air dam on an OR, looks stupid
