Yeah, it might be even worse at higher highway speeds, or in more windy conditions. I only was able to determine a 1 mpg loss at 50-60 mph.

Youre not kidding there. The front of my camper has more pock marks than Manuel Noriega.

The Air Dam topic comes up every so often. Here is a video with Mike Sweers the Tacoma Chief Engineer talking about the Air Dam (about one minute in) if anyone is interested and has not seen the video before.

This thread is live again so NOW I can finally ask. Need a cool project sump pump for that hellhole you have on your propriety? I’m tired of getting wet when you guys tie me up down there. It can be part of your dowry.

Always heard taking off the air damn would reduce the mpg slightly. Never saw any difference, anyone else see any change?

The dealer took mine off when they did the TRD lift kit and tire upgrade. I was going to raise holy hell and trip children until I noticed they left my fog lights intact when state law says they were required to remove them. So all was forgiven and I never mentioned it.

Yeah i did...about 1 mpg, plus more wind noise, and a strange howling at times when it rained when going 45 mph plus. I put it back on. The wind noise in the cab went away, and hasn't come back.

Mine seems better with it gone. Didn’t get 21 mpg till I took it off best was 20 with it on. No wind noise either. No issues here.
