I'm probably one of the few, but I prefer to have mine installed.

I got pretty much exactly 1 extra mpg when I installed the air dam and lost 1 mpg when I removed it and installed the pro skid plate. Same daily drive (2/3 hwy, 1/3 city).

Plenty of people have tested with and without including myself and it’s ~1mpg better with. For me it’s worth that little extra and I added the air damn to my OR. Every bit helps when you go on a 700 mile trip loaded with dirt bikes and gear.

I used to drive 500km to and from work, and I didn’t notice any change in mpg without the air dam.
In fact I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten better mpg a few times without it. Just depends on how you drive I guess.

I prefer the dam. But it also blends well with mgm and doesn’t stand out.
    image.jpg
To me the height to width ratio of the front end is balanced with the dam than without… if that makes sense

that 1 mpg is anecdotal. There are so many other things that affect MPG it's near impossible for the average driver measure the small differences. I don't dispute that the dam will make a bit of difference at highway speeds, but my personal experience is more like 1/4 to 1/2 mpg highway and zero difference around town. There are so many other things that affect MPG it's hard to measure. But your truck, and your money paying for gas so if the dam works for you... great.

About 1 minute into this video the Toyota engineer talks about the air dam and testing the Tacoma in a wind tunnel. Keep in mind this video is from 2015 before the Pro was available.

One of my first mods, love the look and did not notice drop in mpgs or noise on hwy.

Please remove and throw in the garbage.

    Enjoy the new truck!

If any of you who have pulled that nasty a-- POS off there truck would like to sell it for way more than it worth, say about $10 or so, I would reluctantly cough up the money and buy it from you.
