I've got the front at around 2 inches lift, I like it and I'm not planning on going any higher any time soon. I would like to get a little more caster though, I do a lot of highway driving and I feel like it's wandering and following grooves in the road surface. the shop doing the alignment is saying I am around 1 deg caster. I feel like 2.5 to 3.5 degs would improve the wander, no?

So it's no secret that this is fixed with UCAs, but my question is..

Tubular (Like the 600 dollar ICONs)

    Or

Billet (with the slick adjustments at each end - 1,200 dollar ICONs)

Either of these would get my caster back but has anyone had trouble getting the camber where they want it with the tubular style? If I go tubular, the caster will improve but I will still only have the LCA cams to get my camber where I want it. Did anyone try tubular only to find out they needed billet ones to get where they wanted to be camber wise?

I don't mind the extra cost of billet, I'm patient, I'll just wait andsave a bit more and get it right..

    Thoughts?

At 2" of lift you should have more caster than 1° on stock arms.

I could get you a better alignment in my garage with basic hand tools. Take it to a better shop unless you really want to spend the money on aftermarket upper control arms. Any of them will offer more caster if that's what you're after.

    Thanks for replying..

I'm not certain about the 2 inches of lift, it could be more.. I should also explain a little about the (neg) camber I'm after. Lots of highway driving and I like the look and feel of a little neg camber.. I don't like the silly looking pos camber that they all start out with and what every les scwhab is going to give you. I think what im up against is with the camber I'm looking for there isn't any more adjustment available at the LCA s to get more than a degree of caster..

I trust these alignment shop guys. They dp lots of weekend track racer stuff, they put weight in the driver's seat, they got the thrust angle of my rear axle perfect, etc

I'm probably over-thinking this.. The tubular style would take care of my caster and then that would leave the full range available at the LCA cams for my camber..

Ok I'm with ya. So you're after a little bit of negative camber with close to 3° of positive caster? Pretty much any of the available aftermarket arms can get you there. Most are designed with an additional 2° caster so that would put you close to 3° at your current camber.

SPC(LR) arms will put you wherever you want to be with their large adjustment range, but I don't think you really need that much at only ~2" of lift.

Do you have a printout of your current alignment?
