Tonight I noticed a rattle type sound coming from my front drivers side axle area. More noticeable at around 20mph and I didn’t hear it when I went over 55. I gave it a visual check and nothing looks loose. Everything seems to work fine.

I have recently been using my 4wd as we have been getting some snow in Ohio so I wonder if this has anything to do with it.

I have to drive 1000 miles back to where I live in Louisiana tomorrow, so if anyone has any thoughts on what it may be it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

It does it in 4wd also. It kind of comes and goes, noticeable when I am slowing before coming to a complete stop

thats what I thought it was when I first heard it. Went and sprayed the area down and it’s still making the noise.

Also the frequency of the noise stays consistent doesn’t seem to speed up or slow down with speed. CV joint issue?
