    Looks like grease from your cv boot. Too thick to be diff oil.

    Not “life or death” concerned, but the longer you put off repairing it, the more of a mess you’ll make under the truck and the more likely you’ll need to replace the entire cv assembly rather than being able to just replace the boot and pack new grease into it. Eventually, if you run it dry long enough, the joint could fail.
